Subramanian and taken forward by Dr. S. Sugunthan MD & Dr. R. Shailaja MD. Dr. S. SUGUNTHAN, M.D. (SIDDHA)

Dr. S. Sugunthan holds a Master’s degree in Siddha Medicine with a specialization in Sirappu Maruthuvam, which prominently includes Varmam Science. He completed his studies at the Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai, affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. Currently, he serves as a Varmam Expert at the National Institute of Siddha, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai.

He has presented papers at both international and national conferences and actively participated in numerous workshops. His expertise is recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, where he serves as a member of an expert group under CCRAS for appraising research and documentation related to Marma Chikitsa.

As a dedicated contributor to the field, Dr. Sugunthan regularly delivers lectures to students, scholars, and educators. He also organizes field visits and camps focused on medicinal plant identification and traditional medicine preparation, fostering hands-on learning and deeper understanding of Siddha practices.

His cross-disciplinary recognition is evident through invitations as guest of honour at both Siddha and Ayurveda medical platforms. This reflects his significant contributions to integrative medicine and traditional healing. While Siddha is rooted in Tamil tradition and Ayurveda originates from ancient Sanskrit texts, being honoured in both systems highlights the broad acceptance and credibility of Dr. S. Sugunthan, son of Dr. M. Subramanian.

With more than a decade of clinical experience he has successfully treated many specially abled children in Malaysia and India using Varmam techniques that he learnt under the direct guidance of Aasan Dr. N. Shunmugom Ph.D.,

Worked at Thirumoolar Varmam Research and Therapy Centre, Coimbatore since 2008 & serve as member of Expert group to Marma Chikitsa organized by CCRAS, Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India.

Dr. Divya M.D. (SIDDHA)

Dr.Divya has completed her Masters in Siddha Medicine with specialization in Varmam Maruthuvam from National Institute Siddha, Sanatorium, Chennai, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Guindy, Chennai. Currently, working as consultant at our excisting branch the Arivan Siddha Varmam Clinic, Padi, Chennai.

She is specialised in treating people in all Varmam treatment techniques.

Presented papers in International and National level conferences. She has actively participated in many workshops. She even published research papers in reputed indexed journals.

Experience

She has 4 years of clinical experience in Siddha Varmam Maruthuvam.

She is also an expertise in preparing Traditional Siddha formulated Medicines.

Dr. Sainivedha M.D. (SIDDHA)

Dr.R.Sainivedha has completed her Masters in Siddha Medicine with specialization in Kuzhandhai Maruthuvam which includes Magalir Maruthuvam from National Institute Siddha, Sanatorium, Chennai affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Guindy, Chennai. She also has skill in Varmam manipulating therapy.

Presented papers in International and National level conferences. She has actively participated in many workshops and also published research papers in indexed journals.

Experience

She has 4.5 years of Clinical experience in Siddha Magalir and Kuzhandhai Maruthuvam. She also has experience in Antenatal Care.

She worked as a Project Manager in Public Health Initiative Project of Ministry of AYUSH in Department of Siddha, The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Guindy, Chennai and she has also been invited to serve as a guest speaker.
